Children's paradise
Czechia is a very family friendly destination. We would even say it is a children’s paradise.
First of all there is the abundant nature for kids to explore and play in. There are also more than 2000 castles to visit where your young prince or princess will feel as if they were the star in a Disney movie.
Which kid isn’t intrigued by the underground world? Let your offspring’s imagination run wild while visiting one of Czechia’s numerous cave systems. Or, on the contrary, explore the world from among the treetops. There are more than 400 view towers in Czechia and some are really spectacular.
Czechia is also home to many zoos, animal parks and safari parks. You and your kids can even go back in history and walk among dinosaurs in one of Czechia’s six DinoParks, a great day out. And when the weather gets a bit too hot in summer you can of course visit one of the many aqua parks.
But there are also less obvious, but no less fun, choices. Below we will give you some extra inspiration on how to make your holiday in Czechia one that your children will never forget.

Preserving history
Open-air museums are a great and playful way to enjoy the outdoors and in the meantime learn about the history and the culture of a region. The Czech Open-Air Museum offers four wonderful locations, two in Moravia and two in Bohemia. Their mission is to document, protect and preserve more than two hundred years of the history of folk architecture and to bring closer the way of life in the countryside. Each of them reflects the culture of a different region and is therefore unique.
We invite your family to wander through intriguing Wallachia (Valašské muzeum v přírodě), the fertile Haná valley (Valašské muzeum v přírodě), mountainous Vysočina (Muzeum v přírodě Vysočina) and the mysterious Sudetenland (Muzeum v přírodě Zubrnice).
Get to know the stories of ordinary people against the background of everyday events and great history. Compare their lives with your modern way of life. It’s not just ancient history. It can bring you and your children interesting lessons and inspiration for today.
