The members of the Czech Tourist Club have been marking hiking trails since 1889. The created network of marked hiking trails is considered the best in Europe thanks to its density, quality and complete coverage of the entire country. One of the conditions for tourist marking is also safety. Therefore, the tourist marking in Czechia is one of the most reliable and sophisticated in the world. The trails vary from day trips, to longer trails like the Lužnice River Trail (55 km) or the Gold Trail of Bohemian Paradise (103 km) and even to the long distance trails like the Golden Trail (631 km), the Hřebenovka (800 km) or the king of trails, the Cesta Českem, which takes you on a 1000 km hike across the entire territory of Czechia.
