IN AND AROUND PRAGUE - 3 DAYS

Much more than just a citytrip Prague

You only have limited time but you would still like to get a taste of what Czechia has to offer? Then this mini program in and around Prague is definitely for you.

During your two night stay, you not only discover Czechia’s world famous capital, Prague, but you can also choose your own day trip outside of ‘the city of a hundred spires’.

You can go for UNESCO World Heritage in Kutná Hora or Český Krumlov, you can visit Czechia’s most impressive castle, Karlštejn or you can dive into Czechia’s abundant nature and check out the Pravčická gate, the largest natural rock gate in Europe.

And why not stay a couple nights longer and explore all these wonderful sites? Or make your stay a bit more active with some cycling or golf?

A taste of Czechia that will definitely leave you wanting more!

Itinerary 'In and around Prague'

Arrival to Prague before noon. Transfer to the hotel in downtown Prague (own expense, taxi or public transport). In the afternoon a professional guide takes you on a tour of the historical centre of Prague. In the evening you enjoy a good meal after which you are free to explore Prague by night. We highly recommend a visit to the pub and a tasting of the world-famous Czech beer.

Today you make a day trip outside of the Czech capital. You can choose between 4 different destinations.

If you are in for some UNESCO World Heritage, there are two options. Either you travel a bit in eastern direction to Kutná Hora with its beautiful St. Barbara Church (Chrám sv. Barbory), the gothic Stone Fountain, the Museum of Silver and the Medieval Silver mine. Or you choose the more southernly located historical city of Český Krumlov.

If you are interested in castles, then Karlštejn is an absolute must. The most famous of all Czech castles was founded in 1348 by Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor.

If you opt to experience the abundant nature in Czechia, you can visit the Bohemian Switzerland National Park (České Švýcarsko), an unspoiled nature park full of romantic rivers, overwhelming rock towns, dreamy valleys and picturesque villages. The ‘pièce de résistance’ is without any doubt the Pravčická gate, the largest natural rock gate in Europe. This majestic sixteen meters high and twenty-seven meters spanning rock bridge is an incredible sight to see and a serious contender for the list of the world wonders.

In the evening return to Prague.

After breakfast, you are free to further explore Prague. End of program.

Length of program

The standard program is 3 days / 2 nights.
Extra activities in Prague (Vltava river cruise, jazz-club night, rollerskating) or for sportive activities (a bicycle trip from Děčín to Dresden or golfing in Karlštejn, Konopiště or the Albatros golf resort) can be easily added.
