Concerts in Prague, the perfect setting for your favorite music
Prague is a real music hotspot. The inner city is full of concert venues, music clubs and pubs, vinyl and cd shops. Every week, numerous national and international acts and artists take the stage in the Czech capital. Year round, there are lots of concerts in Prague.
Rock and pop concerts are usually being held in the O2 Arena, the Lucerna Music Bar or the Forum Karlín. In summer, the really big bands play in a stadium or on an airfield strip.
Classical concerts in Prague are staged in grand concert halls, Old Town churches, at Prague Castle and in a variety of other magnificent, historic buildings.
The John Lennon Wall symbolizes freedom of speech and the non-violent resistance of the Czech youth. The wall started in 1980, shortly after Lennon was murdered and has been filled with John Lennon-inspired graffiti, lyrics from Beatles’ songs, and designs relating to local and global causes. Although John Lennon never visited the location of the wall, it was crafted as a symbolic burial site by the youth of Prague.
This 3 day program lets you discover the musical side of Prague and its surroundings, while you enjoy your favorite music. An experience to never forget!

Itinerary
Arrival to Prague before noon. Transfer to the hotel in downtown Prague (own expense, taxi or public transport).
In the afternoon you discover Prague (without guide). We strongly recommend the Lennon wall, the Museum of Music, and because there is no rock ‘n roll without sex, the Sex Machines museum.
After dinner you can enjoy the world famous Czech beer in the John Lennon Bar. If you prefer to experience live music, you can visit one of Prague’s famous jazz clubs (Ungelt, Reduta or The Loop) or rock clubs (Vagon, Rock café or Batalion).
Today you make a day trip outside the Czech capital. You can choose between 3 different destinations.
If you are in for some UNESCO World Heritage, Kutná Hora with its beautiful St. Barbara Church (Chrám sv. Barbory), the gothic Stone Fountain, the Museum of Silver and the Medieval Silver mine, is an absolute must see.
If you are interested in castles, then Karlštejn is a perfect choice. The most famous of all Czech castles was founded in 1348 by Charles IV, King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor.
A more sustainable alternative is to take the steamboat that goes on the Moldau river between Prague and the Slapy dam. Its history goes all the way back to the end of the 19th century. The cruise to Slapy runs through beautiful nature. You can look forward to picturesque views, passage through part of the Moldau Cascade and learning about the historical steamboats on the Moldau river.
In the late afternoon return to Prague for the concert of your choice (tickets not included in the price of this program).

The standard program is 3 days / 2 nights.
Extra activities in Prague (rollerskating, Segway tour) or sportive activities (a bicycle trip alongside the Moldau river or golfing in Karlštejn, Konopiště or the Albatros golf resort) can be easily added. Contact us for prices.

As concerts are being held in Prague during the whole year, this trip can be made year-round.
You can find the listings for concerts in Prague on the websites of Ticketmaster (rock and pop) and Prague Ticket Office (classical music).
